It looks like Apple is in for more trouble with its iPhone. This time it is over the use of the term Visual Voicemail where a product with the same name already exists as part of the Nortel’s Voice Office Applications Suite.
I wonder, with over 200 patents applicable to the handset, as claimed by Steve Jobs, how many more will come up and join the party Apple did not invite that would potentially cost Apple millions of dollars. Is it worth it? Only time will tell. But if previous products by Apple is anything to go by, iPhone should be generating a lot of cash for Job’s lawyers to negotiate with the suing parties. Good luck to Apple.
