This cool looking personal wind tunnel could well be the gadget every household would have in the future. The wind tunnel is the work of a well known designer Philippe Starck, who had come out of retirement just to design this potentially cost saving device for all human kinds.

The designer claimed this simple-looking UDSD $633 gadget is able to crank out 20-60% of the power needed in a house… now go figure out which appliances in your house that can be powered by this small turbine.

Available in either stainless steel, signal orange or crazy transparent style, the new electricity generators will be shipping to everyone in September. I hope it wont take long for the energy generator to arrive in Malaysia.

Another method of making money in the internet is to create a niche site. Niche site by nature is a very small website but the contents are highy specialized, only related to the niche of the site. While Wordpress is traditionally used for creating highly interactive and frequently updated blogs and websites, it can also be used to create highly static niche sites that requires minimal updates. A large computer manufacturer is getting around 20 percent to 30 percent of the flash-based notebooks it is shipping sent back because of failure rates and performance that simply isn’t meeting customer expectations, said research firm Avian Securities in a report on Monday.

Approximately 10 to 20 percent of the flash notebooks shipping from the large manufacturer are coming back because of technical failure, which is far higher than the one to two percent of notebooks that come back because of technical failure with hard drives.

Who are the large manufacturers? Well, it is not mentioned in the article above but Dell is one of the most aggresive marketers of SSD-based laptops. Co-incidently, Dell sources its flash drives from Samsung.

The statement also shows an amount of RM319.33 was credited to my credit card account, which I think is quite a good exchange rate. No other transaction fees was charged by the local bank. So the total fees charged was only USD5 by PayPal.
