There are so many ways to make money on the internet. Blogging is one of them. When it comes to making money via blogging, Wordpress is almost the de-facto standard. I started blogging using the free stuff at www.blogspot.com but after only 4 entries, I moved my blog to Wordpress and I have not looked back since.
Another method of making money in the internet is to create a niche site. Niche site by nature is a very small website but the contents are highy specialized, only related to the niche of the site. While Wordpress is traditionally used for creating highly interactive and frequently updated blogs and websites, it can also be used to create highly static niche sites that requires minimal updates. That is the beauty of Wordpress.
I just came across Caroline Middlebrook’s free e-book on how to build such niche sites using the Wordpress Content Management SYstem (CMS). If you are into niche sites building, I highly recommend this free e-book which was based on Caroline’s real-life experience of building niche sites. If you are not yet into niche sites, her e-book will give you a good introduction and lead you to start building your first niche site effortlessly, using Wordpress of course. And again, it’s FREE.
Thanks Caroline for for sharing with us your valuable experience and made it available to all of us as free e-book. Have a nice day!!

A large computer manufacturer is getting around 20 percent to 30 percent of the flash-based notebooks it is shipping sent back because of failure rates and performance that simply isn’t meeting customer expectations, said research firm Avian Securities in a report on Monday.
Approximately 10 to 20 percent of the flash notebooks shipping from the large manufacturer are coming back because of technical failure, which is far higher than the one to two percent of notebooks that come back because of technical failure with hard drives.

Who are the large manufacturers? Well, it is not mentioned in the article above but Dell is one of the most aggresive marketers of SSD-based laptops. Co-incidently, Dell sources its flash drives from Samsung.

My PayPal withdrawal to credit card transaction completed without any problem after PayPal resolved whatever issues the faced. I initiated the USD100 withdrawal transaction on 25th Jan 2008. My credit card statement shows two dates to complete this transactions, the first transaction date is 10th Feb 2008 and the second date is 12th Feb 2008 as the posting date.
The statement also shows an amount of RM319.33 was credited to my credit card account, which I think is quite a good exchange rate. No other transaction fees was charged by the local bank. So the total fees charged was only USD5 by PayPal.
In general, I think the process to withdraw PayPal fund to credit card is very easy to follow and cost much less compared to other methods previously discussed by a lot of internet marketeers. Thanks to PayPal for making our lives much easier. Well done!

I had tried to withdraw some fund from my PayPal account to my credit card account on 25th Jan 2008. The entire process was very simple to follow, no doubt about that… but few days later I had received an email from PayPal informing me about a technical problem that had prevented the transaction from being completed. Just today, I received another email from PayPal informing me again that the technical issue had finally been resolved…. I am not sure what was the problem but if it took more than one month to resolve…. it must have been quite major. Whatever it is, I am glad it is now over. Upon checking my PayPal account, the transaction is now tagged as ‘Completed’ but I am yet to see this transaction reflected in my credit card statement. It is interesting to see how much my local bank would charge for withrawing PayPal into my credit card account (actually this is similar like paying my credit card … it is just that instead of paying by cash, I was using PayPal… I will be surprised if they charge something else (apart from the exchange rate) for paying my credit card….if you know what I mean). I will keep you posted.
We recently notified you of a technical issue that was delaying withdrawals to your credit card. We have resolved this issue. All previously delayed withdrawals to your cards should now be displayed as ‘completed’ within your PayPal account.
These funds may have already posted to your card balance or will do so in the next 3 to 5 days.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your business.
Thank you,
PayPal

OK guys…. it is finally here. Welcome to the new look CJCM and IT with a new brand CJCM2u.com.
I am not sure if you like it but this is what I want… so you better like it because this is what I have paid for so I am not going to change it just because some of you don’t like it… he he he.
Thanks to Nurudin Jauhari for developing this unique design (based on my design criteria criteria of course… so don’t blame him if you think this is an ugly theme OK? LOL)
I will be still be tweaking the codes for the next week or so until I get it right in terms of its functionality so please bear with me while I am at it… either by myself or with Jauhari’s help.
In the mean time, do you kknow that my Kuala Lumpur is Home also gets a new look under b5media?

It has veen a little quiet for this blog lately. However I hope to bring more life to this blog real soon. For one, I have just upgraded the Wordpress to the latest Wordpress version 2.3.2. Then there is a completely new design of the theme for CJCM and IT taking place right now. There will be no more free theme for this blog. I think it is not fair for this blog to appear under the free theme when it has generated more than enough online income to afford its own unique theme. Just hold on to your seat while I am working with the theme designer to finalize the new look for CJCM and IT. I am hoping to reveal the new theme latest by end of Feb 2008.
When the new theme design is finally launched, CJCM and IT will be re-branded as well. It will continue to exist a brand new name CJCM2u.com which is not a new name after all. The content of this blog however will remain the same. I will continue to blog on all things related to blogging, IT, gadgets and technology.
On a different note, my other site Kuala Lumpur is Home, originally part of Home Turf Media, has been acquired by b5media and will be part of b5media’s Travel and Culture channel. Read more about this here.
Unfortunately, the development of my blog network CJCMedia Network had been stalled for many reasons I don’t feel like discussing here. And to be completely honest, I am not sure what to do with that. I will certainly decide on the fate of the blog network as soon as I am done with the upgrading of CJCM2u.com and Kuala Lumpur is Home.
2007 had been a good year for me and I hope 2008 will be even better. Thank you for your support thus far. Better late than never, I wish all my sponsors and readers a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2008. See you around….
